Keep Cozy With Kraftin’ Kimmie

A wonderful theme and challenge for a cold winter day here in Canada!  This week challenge #159 at Kraftin' Kimmie is “Keep Cozy” – create a card/project with a warm theme or color scheme.

I’ve used a rubber stamp from the “Lulu And Friends” collection.  What’s cosier than being in your favourite pyjamas and slippers and hugging your teddy-bear!  I also chose to use warm colors; yellows, oranges and yellowish-green.

It’s been a great month guest designing with the super talented ladies from Kraftin Kimmie rubber stamps.  Thank you all so much!

Have a wonderful week-end everyone!

Circus Trinkets 1
At first I was going to color him in, but I liked the non-colored image better on this card, but there are so many possibilities with this trinket.  I got a close-up for you.

Guest Designer for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

I am thrilled and excited to be a guest designer for the month of December with Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  It’s a little intimidating to work with the incredibly talented Krafty Girls.  I am sure I will learn a lot from the ladies.

This week’s challenge #157 is ”Baby It’s Cold Outside” creating snow or cold weather projects.  I am using the rubber stamp “Maxwell Snowboarding” for a Christmas card.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

He is just too darn cute!  I created a slider card so that Maxwell could actually snowboard down the card.  I colored the image with copics and then stamped another image on thicker black card stock and glued them together to give more stability to the image. I used a penny which I covered with white card stock and then used a dimensional to adhere Maxwell to the penny.  I added a little glitter to his gloves and scarf.  I also added white applique to the snow on the leaf.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The paper is from the ‘Snowed In’ paper pad by My Mind’s Eye.  Martha Stewart clear glitter to form the mountains.  The sentiment came with the rubber stamp.  Some colored seed beads on the bottom for decoration and depth.

I hope you will join us this week for a fun challenge.  Don’t forget to check out the DT’s gorgeous work.  Have a wonderful week-end!

Mo’s Digital Pencil – Anything Goes!

Happy Thanksgiving!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is a cute “Flower Girl” image from one of many gorgeous digitals by Mo Manning.  I colored her with Copics and then layered her with the round and scalloped dies by Spellbinders.  The sentiment was computer generated.  Flowers are by Prima, and branches are made with a punch.  The designer papers I’ve had for a bit and can’t remember who they are made by.

Kraftin’ Kimmie–Anything Goes!

Wow, two cards in one day I am on a roll……   I’ve used one of the very old KK stamps.  I’m not even sure what it’s called so I am naming it using the sentiment that came with it, which is “Just Skatin’ By”.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I love this stamp reminds me of an older couple enjoying their time together!  I colored the image with copics, and used chalk ink for the rosy cheeks, and Spellbinders for the round and scalloped dies.  I added a bit (ha) of gold glitter to help pop the image off of the blue designer paper by Bo Bunny.  The snowflakes were cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  I added gems which I colored to match the hat and mittens on the bears.  The final touch is the black ribbon.

I think it’s time for a tea break while I put together the next card.  I hope you are having a wonderful week-end.  Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian pals in blog land!

Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Birthday Bash!

Hi Guys!

Well its been a long time since I have posted anything.  I have been visiting my kids and grandbabies for 2 1/2 months.  It was pure joy!  I have to admit that every now and then I felt the ping of withdrawal from card making.  I decided to jump right in and join the Kraftin' Kimmie 3rd Anniversary birthday party.  She is having lots of challenges and prizes.  You can find all the details on her challenge blog.  I’ve managed to get two cards made for Challenge #1 Pink and Girlie, and Challenge #2 Anything Goes.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’ve used one of my favourite Lulu stamps and the cute little sentiment that comes with it.  The image is colored with copics, and then I added some glitter on her tutu and hair baubles.  The flowers are made with the MFT rolled roses dies.  The stars were inked with distressed ink and then glittered.  The designer papers are leftovers from other projects.  I even decided to not be lazy and pull out the “ole” sewing machine….lol.

I had great fun creating again, and have to say my withdrawal systems are all gone for now!  Thanks for stopping by!
