Michelle Perkett Challenge #56 - Make Your Own Background Paper!

Here it is Tuesday again, and the last day of November, where did the year go!  We've got another fabulous challenge for you at the MPS Challenge Blog.  All you have to do this week is create your own background paper, how easy is that!  Don't forget you must use an MPS image to qualify to win a digital image of your choice from Michelle's Etsy Store.  You can also buy Michelle's "Holly The Christmas Friendship Fairy" for 20% off until Friday, December 3rd, midnight (PST).

This is one of the "Snow Family" images that Michelle just released this month, and it's called "Snow Family Wishing".  I made my background paper with a dark blue card stock, and then stamped it with snowflakes, in a light blue ink and then again with white ink.  I used Martha Stewart glitter on the scarfs, hats, ear-muffs, and the stars.  The stars on the string were cut out with my Cricut cartridge, and then pop-dotted on the cardstock, and image.  The string is attached to the card base with silver brads.

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday - Monochromatic Card!

Hi, time for another fun challenge at SSD.  This week we would like you to create a monochromatic card.  You are now able to use any image, but we love it when you use an SSD digital stamp.

Michelle Perkett Challenge #53 - Anything Goes!

Hi everyone, and happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new fun and fabulous challenge at Michelle Perkett Studios.  You can create and design anything you want this week, as long as you use a MPS image.  Michelle has been busy creating lots of new digital stamps, and you can find them and many more Here at her etsy store.  One lucky random winner will get to chose one image of her choice.

This is one of Michelle's older images, and she is called "Just Breathe Mermaid".  I wanted to make a christmas card, but not a traditional one, so I thought I would use a mermaid, and put her in a snow globe, I love how it turned out!  Now my question to you is, "Do mermaids celebrate christmas?"

I colored her in christmas colors, using red so her flowers would look like poinsetta's.  I used some pink Martha Stewart glitter on her tail, and added green pearls to the flower centers.  I embossed the greenish/blue card stock with the Cuttlebug Swirls folder.  I cut a piece of acetate into a circle then embossed it with the Cuttlebug Dot folder, and to create the snow, I used white opal pearl stickles on each raised dot.
I cut the snowflakes out with the Winter Wonderland cartridge by Cricut, then added pearls for the centers.  The designer paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle, last years christmas papers.

I Won The Attitude Blog Award!

Wow, I was so excited to hear about this.  After spending the last week, sick and in a lot of pain, this was great  news!!  I also can claim a $5.00 prize at Digis With Attitude.  I also want to send a shout out to Mari, and Claire for nominating me!  I hope you will check out their amazing creations!
