Michelle Perkett Challenge #56 - Make Your Own Background Paper!

Here it is Tuesday again, and the last day of November, where did the year go!  We've got another fabulous challenge for you at the MPS Challenge Blog.  All you have to do this week is create your own background paper, how easy is that!  Don't forget you must use an MPS image to qualify to win a digital image of your choice from Michelle's Etsy Store.  You can also buy Michelle's "Holly The Christmas Friendship Fairy" for 20% off until Friday, December 3rd, midnight (PST).

This is one of the "Snow Family" images that Michelle just released this month, and it's called "Snow Family Wishing".  I made my background paper with a dark blue card stock, and then stamped it with snowflakes, in a light blue ink and then again with white ink.  I used Martha Stewart glitter on the scarfs, hats, ear-muffs, and the stars.  The stars on the string were cut out with my Cricut cartridge, and then pop-dotted on the cardstock, and image.  The string is attached to the card base with silver brads.

Other Challenges:
Totally PaperCrafts - Untraditional Christmas, no red or green.
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Challenge #24 Christmas with no red or green.
The Creative Cottage - Challenge #28 Untraditional Christmas, no red, green or gold.
Die Cut Dreams - Challenge #45 - use a Die Cut no Punches.  I used Cricut to cut the stars.

I hope to see your projects/cards this week at MPS challenge blog, and good luck ladies!  Have a great week, thanks for stopping by.

Michelle Perkett Challenge #53 - Anything Goes!

Hi everyone, and happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new fun and fabulous challenge at Michelle Perkett Studios.  You can create and design anything you want this week, as long as you use a MPS image.  Michelle has been busy creating lots of new digital stamps, and you can find them and many more Here at her etsy store.  One lucky random winner will get to chose one image of her choice.

This is one of Michelle's older images, and she is called "Just Breathe Mermaid".  I wanted to make a christmas card, but not a traditional one, so I thought I would use a mermaid, and put her in a snow globe, I love how it turned out!  Now my question to you is, "Do mermaids celebrate christmas?"

I colored her in christmas colors, using red so her flowers would look like poinsetta's.  I used some pink Martha Stewart glitter on her tail, and added green pearls to the flower centers.  I embossed the greenish/blue card stock with the Cuttlebug Swirls folder.  I cut a piece of acetate into a circle then embossed it with the Cuttlebug Dot folder, and to create the snow, I used white opal pearl stickles on each raised dot.
I cut the snowflakes out with the Winter Wonderland cartridge by Cricut, then added pearls for the centers.  The designer paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle, last years christmas papers.

Other challenges I am entering:

Bee Crafty - Challenge #42 Christmas 2.
Charisma Card - Challenge #44 With Love At Christmas.
Little Red Wagon - Challenge #53 Use Red.
Paper Sundaes - Challenge #43 Let It Snow.
C.R.A.F.T. - Challenge #75 Dry Embossing.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great week!

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs!

It's been a while since I posted  a challenge card, and what better way to get back in the game, then to create with this gorgeous new image (released November 1st) by Sassy Studios!  We are sponsoring the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week, and one lucky winner gets to chose 4 SSD images of their choice.  This weeks challenge is a sketch, which is provided.  So please hop over to Cupcake Craft challenge blog and check it out.  Good luck ladies!

This sexy new image from SSD is called "Christmas Present", but she could be used for other celebrations.  The sentiment was a freebie from Create With TLC.  All the papers used are left overs from other projects.  I'm trying my hardest to start using up all those scrap papers.  The edge punch is from Fiskars.  The mini roses are by Prima.

Other challenges I am entering:

Crazy 4 Challenge - C4C62 Create a square card.
Lexi Creations - Challenge #26 Anything Goes!
City Crafters - Challenge #29 Get Your Digi On!

Thanks for stopping by and have a super week!
