Bugaboo Stamps New Release Tuesday

Today Bugaboo Stamps new release is “Monster Blocks”.  Since school is starting up again this week in Canada, I decided to make bookmarks.  I printed the Monster Blocks out on designer paper, then cut them out and mounted them on black card stock.  The sentiment was created using PSE.  I made the tassels using embroidery floss.  I decided to give the bookmarks to my neighbour’s daughter Maya.   She loved them and is going to share them with a few of her school buddies.

So, my image this week is my all time favourite gal, Stella.  This is actually called “Stella Bra-less”.   I paper pieced the bra and hanger.  Stella is colored with copics.  The sentiment comes with the image.

It’s time for another Copic/Promarkers challenge on The Outlawz.  The theme this week is “Anything Goes”, always a favourite out there in blog land!  Remember the rules are very simple, you can use any image as long as it is either colored with Copics or Promarkers.  Have fun and good luck!

My image is another by Dustin Pike.  I love his dragons, they have so much personality!  My coloring medium is Copics.  The designer paper is from the Sweet Threads paper pad by Basic Grey.  I’ve used the Optical Dot border punch by Martha Stewart.  Then a bit of twine to finish it off.

Today’s freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps features “Bunny”.   You can pick her up for free, and while you are there check out all the other great images Jodie has to offer.  She also has a 35% off sale that finishes today.

Isn’t she super cute!  I colored the image with copics, then layered her on designer paper and then cardstock.  I added some fancy sewing stitches(by hand) using embroidery floss.  The sentiment is my own, which was computer generated.  The edge was punched with the Martha Stewart Hearts border punch.

The image I use for this wedding card is by Karen's Doodles, and it’s called “Here Comes The Bride”.  The few parts that were colored were done with Copics.  I added some crystal stickles to the bottom of the dress and the bodice.

Summer Is For The Birds (And Bees)!

New Release Day At Bugaboo Stamps!

Hi, hope you’ve all had a wonderful week-end.  Looks like the humidity is finally tapering off, and in my books that’s something to sing about!

It’s also New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps, and today I am featuring “Raggedy Nurse”.

She’s so cute, and I love her wings!  As usual I colored the image with Copics.  I used the Spellbinder oval and scalloped dies to layer the image.  The white card stock was embossed with a folder from Cuttlebug.  I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the wings.  The sentiment is a freebie from Create With TLC.

Catch The Bug Challenge

Wow, this week certainly went by fast, which means it’s time for another fabulous challenge over at Catch The Bug.  This week our theme is Distressed Shabby Chic.  It’s a good combo, and sure made me put my thinking cap on!

I’ve used the image “A Kids View – Pumpkin Trio”, and you can find the image HERE.  I colored the image with Copics, then distressed the edges with scissors, and then sponged the edges with Peeled Paint distress ink by Tim Holtz.  The designer paper is from the Sweet Threads paper pad by Basic Grey.  I used a white gel pen and a black sharpie to add the faux stitching on the edges.  The sentiments are rubber stamps from Kraftin Kimmie.

The Outlawz Copic/Promarkers Challenge

We have another great challenge for you this week.  Our theme is “Color An Animal”.  It can be any animal, just as long as you use either Copics or Promarkers.  We have more amazing prizes this month on The Outlawz, hope to see you there!

The image I am using this week is a “Dragon” by Dustin Pike.  Doesn’t he look all cute dressed like a knight!

I colored the image with copics, and used a template and distress inks by Tim Holtz for the clouds.  The color of the ink is Tumbled Glass. 

My tip for doing the clouds is: “I use an old paint brush and put an elastic around the bristles, this way the ink all goes in one place when I am dabbing on the ink.  I find it works like a charm!”

The designer paper is from the Out Of Print paper pad by Basic Grey.  I used the Cuttlebug Corner Die to make the decoration, and then added a brad by Doodlebug.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Encore Presentation!

Anything Goes Challenge!

It’s Saturday, and time for a new challenge on the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.  It’s everyone’s favourite “Anything Goes”.  So how easy is that!

I’ve just become a big fan of “Molly Moo”.  You can find more of Molly Moo at the Bugaboo Stamps store.

I colored the image with Copics, then layered it on purple and blue card stock.  I used the Copics colorless blender pen to make the polka dots on her dress, and to make highlights on her shoes face, and paws.  The designer paper is by Martha Stewart.  I also used her corner punch to make the lacy doily, and the strip down the side.

Who Hasn’t Done This Before!

Happy Friday everyone!  This week the Copics/Promarker challenge on The Outlawz is a color combo.  Our combo is to use the colors of your country’s flag.  You may use any image you like as long as your coloring medium is either Copic or Promarkers.  I live in Canada, so my color combo is RED and White.

Who hasn’t stood in front of the mirror, and  not liking what you see, you stick your tongue out at yourself!  I know I have many a times.  This adorable image is from Sassy Cheryl’s.

I colored the image with copics and then layered it on red card stock.  For the red lacy frame I used a Martha Stewart border and corner punch.  The embossing was done with a Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment is a freebie from Create With TLC.
