More Door Hangers!

Made a couple door hangers one for my grandson, and one for my neighbours little guy.  I’m using one of Mo's Digital Pencil image called “Super Duper Boy”.  Both of the boys are really into super heroes, so this was a perfect image for the door hangers.

I’ve colored the two images with Copics, then cut them out and glued to the hangers.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I’ve used the round Spellbinder dies for the hole.  The red lattice is a border punch by Martha Stewart.  It kind of looks like a walk space that you see on building that are being built.  The diamonds are the cut outs from the lattice.

I hope you are all  having a wonderful day.  We have been hit with extreme high heat and humidity.  Yesterday it hit 45C with the humidity, and more of the same for today.  I’m actually dreaming of snow at this moment.  Can you tell I am not a lover of hot weather!

Birthday Celebrations with Sassy Cheryl’s

I’ve used the last of my Lulu and Friends stamps for this birthday card.  The image is colored with Copics, and I added some punched hearts and flowers for bath tub decorations.  There is also some glitter on the bows, and pink gems for her hair ties.  The layout for the card is from the sketch challenge with Sketch Saturday.  I punched out the flowers and leaves using vellum to create a soft look.  Gems and stitching were added for the final touches.

Father’s Day Card

Made a Father’s Day card using some of the stamps from my June card kit from Simon Says Stamps. 

I cut a piece of white card stock, and then sponged on some Peeled Paint distress ink by Tim Holtz.  I stamped the square and the heart with Spiced Marmalade and Brushed Corduroy distress inks.  The shape of the bottom of the card was cut with a Spellbinder die.  I also sponged the Spiced Marmalade onto the white lace to give it an aged look.

Kraftin’ Kimmie Anything But A Card Challenge

This week the challenge on the  Kraftin' Kimmie blog is to create anything but a ‘card’.  So I decided to use another of the lovely “Lulu” stamps and make a door hanger.  My first one ever!!!

I’m quite pleased with it, and I plan on giving it to my little neighbour Maya.  I colored the image with Copics, then cut her out and attached to the hanger.  I’ve used Spellbinder dies for the hole, and added gems for sparkle, and what little girl doesn’t love sparkle!  The butterflies are made using the butterfly punch by Martha Stewart.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I also added some stickles to her dress and bow and hair baubles.  Here is a close up of the image and butterflies.

I added the faux stitching with a black sharpie.  I so love the little grin on the face of this image.

Mo’s “Weather Related” Challenge

I’ve used the cutie “Snow Day” image by Mo's Digital Pencil.  The image is colored with Copics.  I added some liquid white applique for the fur on the coat and the snowflakes.  The designer paper is from the Winterland paper pad by Fancy Pants designs.  The border punch and snowflake is by Martha Stewart.  Ribbon, buttons and pearls are from my growing stash!

Engagement Card

Have another card I made using my June card kit from Simon Says Stamp.  Decided to make an engagement card.  There are so many possibilities with this card kit.

I love the stamped sentiment that came with this kit.  It could be used for a wedding, new baby, new home…. and probably so much more.  I’ve got a picture of the inside, which I usually take time to finish later.
