This is one of the cute little guys that is part of the “Have An Ice Day” rubber stamp set by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. I made this card for my grandson Owen. Apparently at the sweet age of 6 1/2 he has decided that he is a big fan of the Pittsburg Penguins! Living in Canada and being a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens, I was deeply distressed to hear this…..lol. So being a wonderful grandmother, I went online and found a Penguin jersey and colored the image as close as possible to their colors! I think it turned out quite cute and will make Owen very happy!
My image is colored with Copics and layered on black and dark blue card stock. I used the Viva Icy White pearl pen for the snow. I created the sky using chalks and added Stickles Stardust glitter to the ice. The tag was cut using a Simon Says Stamps die. The sentiment is part of the stamp set. The little corners are the punched out garbage from the Cuttlebug corner dies. The designer paper is from the Winter Park paper pad. The little silver snowflake is a dimensional sticker.
A picture of the tag removed from its hiding place.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!
