So today for the re-release of Bootylicious I wanted to try something completely different! I stamped the images, then I coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them out.
So I decided to make a mixed media canvas.  This canvas is 7x7 inches.  I coated it with white gesso and then it dry.  I used my Distress Inks to add the sky.  The white foam from the waves was created using embossing paste and a palette knife.  I used a fence die from La-La-Land and corrugated cardboard to make a partial fence.  Then painted it with acrylics.  I did the same thing for the anchor only the die was from YNs.  I wanted some texture on the anchor so I used more paste on the anchor before I painted it.  I added some cheesecloth and sea shells for texture.  The little white seagulls were hand-drawn and then cut out and painted.  Once this all dried I was able to add the images and the sentiment.  The final touch was to add some more distress ink around the edges for an aged look.  I was quite thrilled with how it turned out.  Now I just need to buy a frame!
Have a wonderful week!
