I made a Happy New Year card, using the Fanny Calendar Months – January image. I colored the image with Copics. The designer papers were scraps from other various projects. The sentiment was computer generated.

Sadly, this is my last card I will be posting as a DT member of Bugaboo Stamps. I have asked for a leave of absence for a few months. I’ve enjoyed making new friends, and I will miss each and everyone of you! Thanks for making me feel so welcomed into the Bugaboo family.

I love this image, she can be used for many celebrations. I colored her with Copics, and added White Opal Pearls for the flower centers. I used a Spellbinder die to layer the image, and then used the White Opal Pearls again to go around the outsides of the dies, and the back panel. The designer paper is from the Splendid Paper Pad by Authentique. I made the flowers using a MFT die.

Catch The Bug Saturday Challenge

Our challenge for this week is to use the colors Red and Blue and Pink, plus use either Flowersoft or Sparkle or Glitter. I know it’s a busy time of year right now, but I hope you can join our challenge this week. Good luck!

I’ve used Christmas Brat Girl – Dress for my image. I colored the image with copics, and used red glitter and white liquid applique for the hat. The designer paper is from the Midnight Frost paper pad by Bo Bunny. The snowflake embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. I’ve used sparkle and glitter along with the colors for my card.

Seeing that it’s Christmas Eve, I’d like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, and hope that Santa is very good to you all this year! Me, I’ve asked for lots of crafting supplies…lol

Stampin’ For The Week-End Challenge

I found a tutorial on YouTube to make this “Star Fold” card. The instructions were well done, and the card went together very quickly. The designer papers that I used are from the Winter Papers pad by My Minds Eye. I used the same papers for the rolled roses which I made using the MFT die.

This is what the inside of the card looks like. I stamped holly and berries along the inside and then went over it with a Sakura glitter pen.

I took a close-up of the inside so you could see the image better. This is the Stocking Santa – Ornament digital image. I colored the Santa with Copics, but paper pieced the ornament with the same DP. The trees were cut with a Cricut cartridge. I added red ornaments to the trees with stickles.

My image was colored with Copics, and I used a white gel pen for the dots on the hats and scarfs. The designer paper is from the Lilac Avenue paper pad by Kaiser Craft. I used a MS snowflake punch to create multi-layers of various colors to co-ordinate with the cardstock and image. The embossing was done with a Cuttlebug folder.

New Release Tuesday!

I just love this image, and there are so many possible uses for it! I made a “recipe card” card. I colored the image with Copics, then layered the image using the oval and scalloped Spellbinder dies. The designer paper is from the Happy Days paper pad by Echo Park. I sewed the two pieces together to make the pocket for the recipe.

You can see the pocket better in this picture. The spoons and sentiment are chipboards from Designs J. Ellory Ltd.

Christmas Countdown Calendar

A while ago I found a tutorial in the Card Making and Papercraft Magazine for a Christmas Countdown Calendar, and I loved it so much, that I decided to make one for my grand-son. What fun I had making this calendar, and would definitely do more of them.

Isn’t it sweet! My only problem with making this calendar was, that I didn’t have a Cinch or a Bind-It All machine. So, I just punched the holes with a hole punch, and then wound the wire threw the holes. It turned out find, but I have to say my hands were a little sore. The calendar base is thick cardboard with designer paper clued to both sides, hence the sore hands! The calendar stays open “tent” style.

I used three images on the calendar, which I colored with copics and then cut them out and added them to the base. The penguin has black fun flock for this body, and white liquid applique for the hat and pompom. The reindeer were cut using a MS border punch. I did the words on PSE, then just cut them out. I used a Sakura glitter pen on the “Sleeps Til”. I wanted a little glitter there. The numbers were done with a Cricut cartridge and Cricut colored pens.

This picture just shows the “little Elf” which is kind of a little surprise once you reach Christmas Eve. The three images from Bugaboo Stamps are “Elf Pocket”, “Poppi Christmas Stocking” and “Dog – Candy Cane”. You can find these at the Bugaboo Stamps online store, where there is currently a 50% off sale going on. Have fun shopping!

The “bling” I added are on the reindeer noses, and the number “24”. I used a black Sakura glaze pen on the black spots of the dog.

The border punch is suppose to be a Snowflake border punch by Martha Stewart, but no matter how often I look at it, it looks like flowers to me!

I got to work with one of the adorable angels from A Day For Daisies, and it’s called “Precious Angel”. I decided to go with non-traditional colors for my card, picking pink and grey. I colored the image with copics, and used glitter for her wings. I also added multi-layers of white flock to get the puffiness for the cloud. The designer paper is from the Lost & Found paper pad by My Minds Eye. I made the flowers using an MFT die, then added a grey pearl for the center. The sentiment was computer generated.

My inspiration for a song is of course, “The Little Drummer Boy”. I gave the card a vintage feel, with the choice of designer papers I used, and the distressing of the papers with ink. The papers are from the Wonder paper pad by Authentique, and the distress ink is the Vintage Photo by Tim Holtz. I’ve added some sparkle on his hat and drum sticks with stickles.

I decided to make my card using Acetate as the base. The designer papers are from the Summer Days paper pad by Echo Park. The leaf flourishes are die cuts by MFT. The sentiment is a freebie from Create With TLC. I add some gold stickles on his crown for some sparkle. My husband turns 65 years old in a few days, and I thought this was a great sentiment for both his birthday and retirement.

One of my very favourites from the Bugaboo Stamps collection are the Skelekinz. This one is called Make It Snappy - Skelekinz Merry Christmas. You can purchase it at the Bugaboo online store, and it’s a perfect time to go shopping, because Jodie is offering a 50% off sale on everything in the store. I decided to color the image with shades of grey using Copic markers. I added black flock to the hat and pompom. Then I printed off the skeletons' in various sizes to make the string of lights. Then the hats were added, and I used black stickles for the eye sockets. The red card stock was embossed with the Christmas folder by Cuttlebug, then sanded to show the white core in the card stock.

I know you are thinking “what a crazy idea for a Christmas card”, but where I live we get lots of snow and cold weather. So who wouldn’t love to be on a lying on a beach, zipping a Pina Colada, and enjoying the sun at Christmas!

So I kept the card simple, just using white and colored card stock. I used Martha Stewart glitter around the edges of the card. The gems are by Crafts. The sentiment is my own.

It’s day 6 of our 12 Days Of Christmas challenge at Catch The Bug, and todays theme is to create a “Humorous” card.

This is another of the soon to be released digi’s from Bugaboo Stamps. I think her facial expression is funny enough for a humorous card! I added my own sentiment, which would be exactly what I would be thinking, if I had to hatch 6 eggs (babies)!

I colored the image with Copics, then cut out the image and layered on multi-layers of card stock cut with the Spellbinder round/scalloped dies. The fancy corners were made with a Cuttlebug die. The designer paper is from the Vicki B Collection by BoBunny.

Bugaboo Stamps New Release Tuesday

It’s time for another new release with Bugaboo Stamps, and we have a real cutie for you! This weeks release is just in time for those Christmas cards.

This digital image is called “Ginger – candy Cane”. I’ve colored the image with Copics, and added a few freckles with a white gel pen. The designer papers are by the Wonder paper pad by Authentique. I’ve also used the white gel pen for some faux stitching around the sides of the card. The sentiment is a rubber stamp, shows up better in person than in the picture.

4 Calling Birds

I paper pieced the bird on the image, and then added a sky by using a template and Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Tumbled Glass. I just use an old paint brush to sponge on the blue. The lovely designer paper is from the Wild Raspberry paper pad by K & Company. The flowers are by Prima, and the leaf flourish is a MFT die.

Well, we are up to Day #3, and it’s been exciting so far! Our theme for today is Use An Animal on your card/project for the 12 Days Of Christmas challenge. My card features the new 3 French Hens image.

I think the image is so adorable! Kept the card simple so the image would be the focal point. The designer paper is from the Lost & Found paper pad by My Minds Eye. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

Our day #2 challenge theme for the 12 Days Of Christmas is create a “Love Theme Card”. You can find all the details on the Catch The Bug challenge blog.

I’ve used the “Two Turtle Doves” image which is part of the 12 Days Of Christmas set that will be released soon, and is also part of the grand prize.

The designer paper is from the 6 x6 paper pad by My Minds Eye. The border punch is by EK Success. The buttons and the leaf flourish was made with the MFT dies. The flower are by Prima. The sentiment was computer generated.

It’s time for another Freebie from Bugaboo Stamps. This week it’s “Simple Santa – Tree”.

I decided to make a swing card with Santa on one side, and then when you turn it over you see the sentiment. The designer paper is from the Blitzen Collection by BoBunny. I colored the image with Copics, then add flock and glitter.

Then the other side of the image! This was fun to make and very quick to put together.

12 Days Of Christmas Challenge

It’s December 1st today, and the beginning of our “12 Days Of Christmas” challenge at Catch The Bug. Each day check out the Catch The bug challenge blog for the theme, and play along with us. The entry deadline is December 16th, and the winner will be announced on December 18th. Do you want to know what you are playing for? We will have a Daily challenge winner, who will win (5) images of their choice. We will also have a Grand Prize winner who will win the full “12 Days Of Christmas” image set and a January Guest Designer spot with the Bugaboo Stamps design team. Wow, what an amazing prize!

So, for Day #1, the theme is Trees. You can add a tree anywhere on your card/project. It can also be trees on your designer papers.

This is one of the new 12 Days Of Christmas digital images that will be offered as the grand prize. So totally cute!!

The designer papers are from the Nordic Holiday paper pad by Basic Grey, and the music sheet paper is from the Authentique paper pad. The music sheet was distressed then I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink on the edges. The Peace Dove was made with a Cricut cartridge, then I added Diamond Platinum stickles for the glitter. I’ve used a MS border punch and snowflake punch.

It’s new release Tuesday over at Bugaboo Stamps. This week Jodie has some adorable Prim Angels for you to drool over. The DT members got to work with the Christmas Prim Angel. I hope you’ll stop by and check out all the gorgeous cards and projects!

I got the shaped ornament from a Cricut cartridge, and just turned it into a card. I then colored the image with Copics, and added some crystal clear stickles on the wings. The image is layered using Spellbinder round and scalloped dies. The leafy flourishes are made with MFT dies. The designer paper is called Nordic Holiday by Basic Grey.

I love the look of this Santa. It’s nice to have a change. I’ve decided to go with a monochromatic color theme of blue. I’ve colored the digi with Copics, and added some white flock for the “muff’. The embossing was done with a folder by Sizzix.

It’s In The Pocket!

We have another great challenge for you this week at Catch The Bug, and the theme is “It;s in The Pocket”. Just create a card /project featuring some type of pocket.

I’ve used the adorable My Little Sock Monkey – Car, and featured a pocket as the card. I colored the image with copics, and added some Stickles on the hat and car.

So when you pull on the ribbon, the tag slides out (kind of like driving), and there is a hidden message underneath.

Cute eh! The green panel was embossed with the Gears folder by Cuttlebug. Then I used a black sharpie to draw on the faux stitching.

New Release

We’ve got a great new release for you today at Bugaboo Stamps, and it’s perfect for all those Christmas cards that need making!

This is just one of a set of Snap Shots that Jodie (the owner) is releasing today. It’s such a cutie! I paper pieced the frame with designer paper from the Authentique paper pad. The rest of the image was colored using Copics. The cheeks were applied using chalk ink. I added some “Christmas Frosting” iridescent glitter to the hat trim and pompom. To achieve the round arc for the card base, I just used a dinner plate and traced around the edge on one side. The snowflakes were cut using the MS punch. Then I added a pearl and some glitter to each snowflake. I love the shape of the card, and it still fits in a 5 1/2 inch envelope.

Today I am sharing an OBG image with you. I’ve used Eggbert – Winter, one of my favourite winter image from Bugaboo Stamps.

I did a bit of coloring with Copics, then used liquid applique for the snowballs. I added a red gem for the pompom on his hat. The designer paper is from the Jovial Paper Pad by Basic Grey. I layered the image using the round and scalloped dies by Spellbinders. The snowflake was made using the MS snowflake punch.

Challenge #106 Mo’s Digital Pencil

The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil is Any Holiday or Celebration. I used the digital image “Ragged Angel” for a Christmas card.

The image is colored with Copics, and I added some MS fine glitter to her wings, and iridescent glitter for snow around her feet.

I used two embossing folders for the background paper. One is the snowflake folder by Cuttlebug, and the other is “ribbon/beads” folder by Sizzix. Once they were embossed I lightly sanded them.

The flowers were made with the Winter Wonderland cartridge by Cricut. I just added some more MS glitter and metal brads for the centers.

For my card I used the Goofy Ghost – Tombstone image which you can purchase at the Bugaboo Stamps store. The designer paper is from the Eerie Paper Pad by Basic Grey, and I believe the brads are by Doodlebug. I colored the image with Copics, then used Peeled Paint distress ink by Tim Holtz around the edges. The tag is a removable book mark.

Holy Cow!

Today’s freebie Friday is a cute little image called “Holy Cow”. You can grab this at Bugaboo Stamps today.

I love this image, so many possibilities. I paired it with the sentiment “you’re how old” for a birthday card.

The shape of the card was created with the large Spellbinder dies. I took the biggest and just folded it in half for the base card. The image is layered on the regular Spellbinder dies. I colored the image with Copics, and used MS glitter for the wings. The flowers were made with the MFT daisy dies. The designer paper is by My Minds Eye, and the ribbon I picked up at Wal-Mart.

New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

Today’s new release is called “Faith Block”. You can find this one and others as part of the new release at the Bugaboo Stamps store.

I decided instead of taking the coloring route for the roses, I would paper piece the flowers, and add a second layer of part of the rose for dimension. The background was embossed with a folder by Sizzix. I used the same designer paper for the butterfly, which was made with the MS Butterfly punch. I then added some clear rhinestones for the body. A very simple card but with a touch of elegance.

I have to say my favourite time of the year (holiday) is Halloween. I love to see all the kids in there costumes. I especially love the scary ones, ghosts, goblins and zombies. The scarier the better, and I have been known to scare a few trick or treater’s in my day! Anyway, with that in mind our theme for this week at the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog is Halloween.

I’ve used an image from Bugaboo Stamps called “Goofy Ghost”. I computer generated the Boo sentiment as part of the image, and then added some black stickles to the lettering. There is also black and orange stickles on the bowtie and heart. The designer paper is by Echo Park called Apothecary Emporium. The black dripping goo is a border punch by Martha Stewart. The ribbon and little bat are finds from the Dollar Store, and the twine is by We R Memories.

Catch The Bug Challenge

It’s that time again! Time for another challenge over at the Catch The Bug challenge blog. The theme this week is “Homecoming Dance – School Colors”. So we’d like to see a card or project using the colors of your school. I don’t know about you, but I had to go way back and try and remember our school colors. I think it was right around the time that the horse and buggy became obsolete….lol. Well, maybe not that long ago. Anyway as it turns out, my school colors were “Garnet and Gold”. The image I used for my card is called Scarlette – Scarf. I know it looks more red than garnet, but it was the closest color I had in Copics. The designer paper is by Martha Stewart. The image was layered with the oval and scalloped dies by Spellbinders. The tag is also a die by Spellbinders.

Sticky Business!

This little guy is called “Sticky” and you can get him at Mo’s Digital Pencil. The challenge at Mo’s was to use your favourite MDP image and a sentiment. So I love all of them, but as of today Sticky is my favourite, but of course that changes from day to day.

I decided to do some paper piecing. It’s my favourite technique to use on cards. The only part colored with copics is the face and hands. I used some pink chalk ink to get those rosy cheeks! Then I used liquid applique and glitter on the hat trim and pom poms. I also used some white embroidery thread for the rope belt on his pants. The embossed corners were done with a Fiskars corner/embossing punch. The sentiment was computer generated. I wanted a Christmas themed card for a friends birthday since she celebrates her day just before Christmas.

Thought I’d show a close-up of the little guy.

It’s hard to see by the picture, but I added the boots and cuff a second time using pop dots for a 3D effect.

I made a twisted easel card, and chose to case the sketch and the color combo which was green, white and black. The designer papers are from both the Eerie Paper pad by Basic Grey and the Apothecary Emporium by Echo Park. I used the MS butterfly punch and then glittered it with fine black glitter. I wanted a spooky butterfly!

Masculine Theme Challenge

We’ve got another wonderful challenge for you this week on the Sweet Stampin' blog, and the theme is “Masculine”. I don’t know about you, but I find I never make enough cards for men or boys, so this was a perfect opportunity to get one done! I hope you’ll play along with us this week. This image is called “Kitchen Knight” and it’s from Mo’s Digital Pencil. He sure looks like he is having a ball!

I colored the image with Copics, and then used the round and scalloped die by Spellbinders to layer the image. The cute designer paper is by 3 Bugs In A Rug, and it’s called D Is For Dinosaur, a perfect match for the image. I added a bit of machine stitching in orange for just a bit of detail.

The star buttons I made myself. I just cut them out using a Cricut cartridge. Then I applied some clear ink and Ultra Thick clear embossing powder, and heat set it with a heat gun. I applied about 5 layers and it gave it the burnt orange color and thickness. Very simple to do, and a lovely effect. If you want to give it a crackled look, put it in the freezer for about 1/2 hour. Once you take it out of the freezer just bend the stars in a few places and the embossing powder will crack giving you the crackled look.

Animal Antics!

Woo Hoo it’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge on the Catch The Bug challenge blog! This week we are looking for animals on your cards/projects, but animals getting into mischief, or having some fun and their is no shortage of amazing images at Bugaboo Stamps that fit the theme.

I’ve used the image Winter Birds – Sled to make a Pendulum Card. When you move the snowflake back and forth it gives the appearance of the bird sledding down the hill. Hard to really get the effect in a still picture.

Once I colored the image with Copics and cut it out I added some flower soft to create snow around the sled. The designer paper is the Midnight Frost Collection by Bo Bunny. The sentiment is a sticker.

This week we have a great challenge for you on the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog, and it’s Stitches. We want to see all those lovely cards/projects with stitching on it. It can be real or faux stitching.

This week I’ve used a lovely image from Bugaboo Stamps, and it’s called “J.J. Shop For Two”. This image also comes with the sentiment. I colored most of the image with Copics, but paper pieced the dress. My designer paper is by K&Company, it’s the Itsy Bitsy Paper Pad. I used a zig zag stitch to join the designer papers, and on the Wonkey dies by Spellbinders. The little outfit is a die cut.

Trick Or Treat – Anything But A Card!

This weeks challenge on the Catch The Bug blog is to create a project for Halloween. No cards this week ladies! I found a tutorial for making vintage Halloween projects, and I adapted it to fit my needs.

I made these two wands using the Bugaboo images “Halloween Brat – Pumpkin, and Goofy Ghost – Moon and Star.

This wand uses the Halloween Brat image, which I colored with Copics, and then used Black and Orange stickles for the sparkle. The designer paper is by Graphic 45. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. The little broom and black cat are dies I picked up at the dollar store.

This is the Goofy Ghost image, which I just used C1 Copic to shade the ghost, then a bit of stickles for the heart. The banner I made myself, and the letters were cut with the my Cricut. The weird little spider is also a die cut from the dollar store. The DP is also by Graphic 45.

Jodie the designer and owner of Bugaboo Stamps has created this gorgeous Halloween Silhouette. It is being released today along with more of her silhouette images. This one is called “Happy Halloween Cat Silhouette”. I love love love it!

What a simple card to put together. It took no time at all. I’ve used the “Goo” punch by Martha Stewart, and the Spellbinder round and scalloped dies. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. Plus I get to say no Copics were used in this creation….lol.

I’ve created a card using the “Bobblehead Giraffe” by Bugaboo stamps. This card was for my daughters friend who just had a baby, a little girl named Cassandra. I colored the giraffe with Copics, and then layered the image using the Spellbinder oval and scalloped dies. The flowers were made with the Tim Holtz tattered Florals dies. The designer paper is by 3 Bugs In A Rug.

We have another great new release for you today at Bugaboo Stamps. This week it’s more Pea Pod kids. You can see them all by heading on over to the Bugaboo store!

This image is called “Pea Pod Twin Girls”, a perfect image for a new baby(s), or even for a first birthday. I’ve colored with Copics, and layered using the Spellbinders oval and scalloped dies. The background embossing folder is the Ribbon and Beads folder by Sizzix, and the dots folder by Cuttlebug. The roses and leaf flourishes were made using my new favourite dies by MFT. I love the look of the rolled roses, and they were very easy to use.

For my Harry Potter themed card, I used 3 images from Bugaboo Stamps to create the scene. They were all colored with Copics, and then I cut them out, and used dimensional tape to arrange them as a scene. The designer paper is by My Minds Eye.

Mo’s DP Challenge #100 Lets Celebrate

What a dreary day here today in Montreal, but a perfect time to hide in my craft room and make a new baby card using the adorable image “Spit Happens” by Mo Manning. Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog is celebrating their 100th challenge this week, and the prizes are fantastic! Which is another great reason to join their celebrations this week.

So, as usual I colored with Copics, and used chalk inks to add a bit more highlights (shading) to the skin. Then used the round and scalloped Spellbinder dies to layer the image. The designer paper is by K & Company – Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl. I machine stitched around both designer papers. The rocking horse lace, was a great find at the dollar store, and I finally got to use it. The sentiment is a sticker, and I thought it was perfect for the image. I decided to put the “congratulations on the new baby” sentiment on the inside of the card.

Bugaboo Stamps New Release Tuesday

So, its Tuesday and you know what that means, it’s New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps, and it’s more of the Skelekinz! This one is called “Skelekinz Halloween”. Head on over to the store to see what else Jodie has done for the new release with the Skelekinz kids.

I’ve made a Double Swiper card. I think I got the tutorial on youtube. I like the effect, and it’s quite easy to do.

The designer paper is from The Apothecary Emporium paper pad by Echo Park. The image is colored with Copics, then layered using the oval and scalloped dies by Spellbinders. The cute little boo sign is a die cut purchased at the dollar store.

I tried to get a good picture of the sentiments once they pop up, but I think it would of been better with a video, but you get the idea of how it is suppose to work.

Our Stamps R Us challenge is a little different this time. The theme is to make a birthday card for Operation Write Home. Happy Saturday! We’ve got a great challenge for you this week. We’d like you to create a scene using 2 or more images. Lucky for you that there are so many wonderful images by Bugaboo Stamps that you can use to create a whimsical scene.

I’ve used two of the Skelekinz digital images. One is called “My Heart” and the other is “For You”. I colored them with Copics, and then cut them out and layered them on white card stock. The sentiment was computer generated. I used the large dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

New Release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps

We have another wonderful new release today at Bugaboo Stamps, and it’s called “Scene It – Halloween Witch”. Isn’t it an amazing Halloween scene. Be sure to check out the rest of the new releases at the Bugaboo store!

I colored the image with copics, and then used some orange stickles for the pumpkin, and yellow stickles for the moon. I used a black glaze pen by Sakura for the trim on the scary house. I sponged on the sky with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The designer paper is from the Eerie paper pad by Basic Grey, and the sentiment is a sticker.

A Big Congratulations For Owen!

When I saw these images from Mo’s digital Pencil, of either a boy or girl sitting on the potty, I knew I had to have the boy. My grandson Owen, was toilet trained at an early age, but for some reason had to have a diaper on when he went for a poop (sorry no delicate way to say it). My daughter tried everything. Then she decided enough was enough, she took him into his room gave him 3 diapers, and told him once they are gone, you have to use the potty. Well, the first day he was quite miserable, and on the second day he decided he needed mommy to sing to him, and by the third day it was all over, and he was completely potty trained, big boy toilet and all….lol Never thought I’d be posting about my grand-son’s toilet habits! The best part about my story, is that he had to call Grammy and tell her all about it.

I decided to make him a little blonde boy, just like Owen is. The image is colored with Copics. I also added some pink chalk ink on the cheeks, elbows and knees. The designer paper is by 3 Bugs In A Rug, and the embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. The sentiments I did using PSE.

I think both Owen and Mommy are going to get a kick out of this card, and of course Grammy had to include a surprise for her little man!

Wow, I think we broke our record on our “Anything Goes” Challenge! The last time I looked we had 397 gorgeous entries. I hope we have as many participants with our new challenge. I found a tutorial on Paper Craft Planet for a Stand-Up card, and decided to give it a go!

This is the card when it is closed up, and below is when the card is opened and the image stands up.

I colored the image with copics, and then I cut it out. I used a Christmas embossing folder by Cuttlebug for the background. I also used purple ink to stamp snowflakes on the green card stock. I was quite surprised how quickly this card came together. I will definitely be doing more of these cards.

Can you believe it’s September already, and the kiddies are all back in school, and fall is just around the corner! Where did the year go! We got good news yesterday, my daughter found out she will be having another little boy. We are all very excited, can’t wait till January!

Today Bugaboo Stamps new release is “Monster Blocks”. Since school is starting up again this week in Canada, I decided to make bookmarks. I printed the Monster Blocks out on designer paper, then cut them out and mounted them on black card stock. The sentiment was created using PSE. I made the tassels using embroidery floss. I decided to give the bookmarks to my neighbour’s daughter Maya. She loved them and is going to share them with a few of her school buddies.

Today’s freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps, and Jodie’s offering up this cutie “Bear Honey Stroller”. While you are there check out more images from the Bear line, and all the other amazing digitals that she has to offer.

I decided to paper piece the bear, and add green stickles on his nose, and yellow stickles for the honey (blanket). The rest of the image is colored with copics. The designer paper and border punch is by Martha Stewart. The flowers were made with the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Dies. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

New Release Day At Bugaboo Stamps!

Hi, hope you’ve all had a wonderful week-end. Looks like the humidity is finally tapering off, and in my books that’s something to sing about!

It’s also New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps, and today I am featuring “Raggedy Nurse”.

She’s so cute, and I love her wings! As usual I colored the image with Copics. I used the Spellbinder oval and scalloped dies to layer the image. The white card stock was embossed with a folder from Cuttlebug. I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the wings. The sentiment is a freebie from Create With TLC.

Catch The Bug Challenge

Wow, this week certainly went by fast, which means it’s time for another fabulous challenge over at Catch The Bug. This week our theme is Distressed Shabby Chic. It’s a good combo, and sure made me put my thinking cap on!

I’ve used the image “A Kids View – Pumpkin Trio”, and you can find the image HERE. I colored the image with Copics, then distressed the edges with scissors, and then sponged the edges with Peeled Paint distress ink by Tim Holtz. The designer paper is from the Sweet Threads paper pad by Basic Grey. I used a white gel pen and a black sharpie to add the faux stitching on the edges. The sentiments are rubber stamps from Kraftin Kimmie.

The Outlawz Copic/Promarkers Challenge

We have another great challenge for you this week. Our theme is “Color An Animal”. It can be any animal, just as long as you use either Copics or Promarkers. We have more amazing prizes this month on The Outlawz, hope to see you there!

The image I am using this week is a “Dragon” by Dustin Pike. Doesn’t he look all cute dressed like a knight!

I colored the image with copics, and used a template and distress inks by Tim Holtz for the clouds. The color of the ink is Tumbled Glass.

My tip for doing the clouds is: “I use an old paint brush and put an elastic around the bristles, this way the ink all goes in one place when I am dabbing on the ink. I find it works like a charm!”

The designer paper is from the Out Of Print paper pad by Basic Grey. I used the Cuttlebug Corner Die to make the decoration, and then added a brad by Doodlebug. The sentiment was computer generated.
