This week, Michelle Perkett, is featuring Operation Write Home (OWH) Birthday Celebration. We would like you to make a birthday card with Michelle's images and send them to one of the OWH shippers. The only restriction is NO GLITTER, or glitter products because it puts the soldiers lives in danger. We challenge you to make a card that a soldier can send home to a family member; wife, husband, child, mom, dad, girlfriend, boyfriend etc. Don't forget you will still have a chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to shop at Michelle's Etsy Store.
The "Abby and Walter" birthday image was perfect for this challenge. I colored the image with Copics, and then layered it on blue and yellow Bazzill card stock. The designer paper is from the dollar store. I used the Happy Birthday embossing folder by Cuttlebug on the blue background cardstock. The ribbon is threaded threw the blue cardstock and then layered on yellow. I discovered using different styles of flowers cut by my Cricut make quite a nice flower, which is what I did for this one. I podged the layers to give them a bit of stability and shine, before I put the flower together.
I am also entering this card in the following challenge:
Sketch Saturday - challenge #120.
KAH-Wink-E-Dink - birthday card.
I sure hope you will join our challenge this week, it is for a great cause! Have a great week, and thanks for coming by.
